CDPAP

What is CDPAP

The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP)  is a statewide Medicaid program that provides an alternative way of receiving home care services, where the consumer has more control over who provides their care and how it is provided. This program allows consumers to recruit, hire, and direct their home care workers. One of the highlights of the program is that it allows consumers to hire family members and friends.

The consumer can manage and take charge of their own care using this special program. This program’s distinctiveness lies in its adaptability and administration style. It encourages independence and offers the customer a genuine sense of control over the decisions made on their own behalf.
